If you cannot trust the build, you cannot trust the code

Teams argue about features while the build is a folk ritual. One laptop, one set of flags, one person who “just knows.” That is not engineering. That is a single point of failure wearing a hoodie.

Make the build boring. Same inputs, same outputs, on more than one machine. Then the defects you find are in the product, not in the ceremony around it.
